Apart from the very full academic program associated with both South Africa campuses, in which most 14-week courses are condensed into nine weeks, there is ample time for fun as well. Most weekends include excursions of one kind or another, some of which are optional extras to be paid for by the students, while others are included in the program’s costs.
Very popular excursions out of the Pietermaritzburg campus are the two-day safari to Nambiti Game Reserve, and the Karkloof Canopy Tour. This latter provides the opportunity to enjoy an adrenalin-inducing rush through the treetops of the Karkloof forest, with amazing views all round. Both these excursions are included in the costs of the South Africa semester.
